Fall 2021 - Lunch package deliveries as described in the New Ministry below will be continued into the fall season and longer
if necessary. Lunches will not be held in Metcalf Hall until further restrictions have been lifted.
A New Ministry During COVID-19
During the pandemic Seniors Connecting at Knox is embracing a new format in delivering frozen soup lunch packages once a month on the 4th Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. The homemade soup is prepared in our Knox kitchen and frozen in single portion containers. This frozen soup lunch package is provided to seniors who are isolated or find it difficult to go out. It is a new expression of our ministry since COVID-19 keeps us from eating in person over lunch in Metcalf Hall.
Chartwell Wellington Park Retirement Residence is pleased to offer complimentary bus transportation to anyone wishing to attend Seniors Connecting at Knox. Wellington Park's bus service will pick you up and drop you off on the last Thursday of every month. Pick up times start at 10:30 am. Departure from Knox starts at 2 pm.
If you wish to have a spot on the bus, please call Amelia at 519-803-0232 to reserve your spot today. Seats are limited.
Existing riders, please call Amelia no later than 5:00 pm the day before Senior's Connecting to confirm your attendance on the bus.

FOCUS AND MANDATE
The focus and mandate of this ministry is to welcome seniors of Knox and the community and to support them in such ways as to enrich their quality of life, and trust they will experience the love of God in and through the caring of the Knox Church family.
Lunch Bunch provides an opportunity for good food, fun and fellowship while eating out at a different restaurant on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 11:45 a.m. If you don’t like to eat out alone, but like to try new or different places, come with us!
