Village Opera’s Spring show will be a double bill of two romantic comedies; George Bernard Shaw’s comedy, Village Wooing, and Giancarlo Menotti’s hilarious The Telephone. Both shows feature Katy Clark, soprano, and baritone Paul Grambo, as well as the wonderful pianist Denise Jung, and are directed by Adam Corrigan-Holowitz. Village Wooing follows the courting of an oddly matched couple— a village telephone operator and an abstracted writer. Shaw was said to have based this play on his own relationship with his wife. The Telephone deals with the difficulties of love in the modern era, especially when technology gets involved. The show will take place on Sunday May 27th at 3:00pm at Knox Presbyterian Church. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students and children. They can be purchased at the church office (519-821-0141). For more information, contact Katy Clark at firstname.lastname@example.org, or at 226-977-0978.
